  • U of A Summer Career Camp

    CAPS: Your U of A Career Centre at the University of Alberta is launching a Summer Career Camp for high school students. The purpose of the Summer Career Camp is to help students explore their career options (whether that means post-secondary education or not), and help them develop a plan for taking the next steps to move their career forward. It will be packed with hands-on activities and opportunities to reflect on skills and career options.
    The camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from July 6 to 10, 2015 and accommodation is not provided so the student would either have to commute each day or stay with someone in the City of Edmonton to participate.

    Do you have a friend, colleague, or family member in grades 10, 11 or 12 who feels stuck when you ask what they will do with the rest of their life? 

    At this camp, we’ll let them in on a secret: choosing only one career for the rest of their life isn’t realistic. Together, we will challenge this traditional career model and help them explore their options. We’re calling on these young people to be part of an exciting summer adventure by joining CAPS: Your U of A Career Centre at the University of Alberta for a week dedicated to getting them unstuck so they can jump-start their career journey.

    What: Summer Career Camp
    When: Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 10, 2015
    Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    Where: University of Alberta, North Campus
    Cost: $300 + GST
    Participation: Space is limited to 32 students. 

    Registration Deadline: Monday, June 22 at 4 p.m.
