The Caregiver Education Team is proud to offer free mental health programming for parents and caregivers of children and youth through our partnership with the Mental Health Foundation. In response to the global pandemic, our programming continues to be offered virtually at this time.
Please feel free to share this information with parents, caregivers, educators, community members, and professionals who would like to learn more about child/youth mental health and parenting topics. If you want to learn more about how to support a child or youth that you live or work with, or if you want additional strategies for supporting caregivers and families that you serve, you are welcome to register for these sessions.
See the link to the newsletter below for more information on topics, dates, times, and registration.
· Caregiver Education Sessions
These 90 minute online sessions are intended to provide parents, caregivers, teachers, and community members with introductory information regarding mental health challenges that can affect children and youth. This month’s sessions look at body image and eating disorders, collaborative problem solving, test anxiety, and building resilience in children and youth.
· Lunch & Learn Webinars
In our 60 minute lunchtime webinars, we will be wrapping up and then restarting our four part series on understanding anxiety and managing the feelings, thoughts, and behaviours that can come with it. We are also offering lunch & learn sessions on parenting teens, supporting children and youth with ADHD, understanding depression in adolescents, parenting strategies that promote positive mental health, and understanding self-injury.
